In this video I take you through the process of checking the backlash on the SkyWatcher HEQ5 Pro equatorial mount. I will also show you how to easily adjust the alignment of the worm gear, the middle transfer gear, and the stepper motor gear for both the DEC and RA axis inside the gearbox. To wrap things up I will show you how to lubricate and exercise the gears.
