The Lion Nebula (also known as SH2-132) is an emission nebula in the constellation Cepheus. The nebula is located about 10 000 light years from earth. So far, the 2023/2024 season has been the worst for me, in terms of clear nights that is. Looking at February, I only managed to gather 9,6 hours of data in total and that is not taking into consideration the quality of that data and what I ended with that is usable. I got a fair amount of snow and had to spend some time shovelling, but that is not surprising. Data for this image: 62x300s S-II, 84x300s Ha, 50x300s O-III. Total number of exposures 196 with a total integration time of 16,3 hours. Processing: PixInsight with SHO palette with SHO stars. Data was collected in December of 2023 and in February of 2024.
